What your business gets

Keep trading at every till through a network outage, with prices that match the ERP and each sale posted to stock and the ledger without anyone keying it again.

A till for real trading conditions

Predictiv point of sale is the till for businesses that trade through power cuts, patchy networks, more than one currency and a tax authority that expects a fiscal receipt for every sale. It runs on a desktop at the counter and on a phone or tablet on the floor, in the van or at a container shop. You use the same till in a supermarket lane, a kiosk and a route vehicle, set up by configuration.

Keep selling when the network goes

The till is built to work offline first. When the connection drops, the cashier carries on scanning, pricing, taking payment and printing receipts. The cashier never waits for a server. When the network returns, Predictiv synchronises the till’s sales with the ERP and downloads any new products, prices and promotions.

This matters most where connectivity is least reliable: rural stores, container outlets and vehicles on the road. A queue does not form because a line went down, and no sale is written on paper to be keyed later.

Fiscalised where the sale happens

Each receipt is fiscalised on the device at the moment of sale, online or offline. Predictiv prints the fiscal details on the receipt the customer takes away. There is no separate fiscal step after trading closes, and compliance holds while the network is down. See payments and fiscalisation for how this works across the platform.

Take payment the way customers pay

Customers can pay in US dollars, in ZWG or by mobile payment such as EcoCash, and can split one sale across several of them. Predictiv calculates totals and change per currency. At the end of a shift the cashier declares the cash before seeing the expected figure, and Predictiv calculates the variance per tender and per currency. Nobody keys a variance, and nobody approves their own.

One price, everywhere

The till and the ERP price from one pricing engine. A product costs the same at the counter as it does on a sales order, including customer prices and promotions. If Predictiv cannot price a sale, because a price is missing or a rule does not resolve, it blocks the sale and shows why. It never quietly charges a list price instead, leaving finance to find the gap later.

Run the estate from one place

Products, barcodes, prices, promotions and customers are maintained once in the ERP. Predictiv sends them to every till, whether it is in the head-office store or in a van three hundred kilometres away. Head office sees sales from every till on the same record, by store, by vehicle and by day.

Records created from the sale

Predictiv creates the downstream records for every sale in the ERP. It records the sale against the customer, moves stock out of the store or vehicle it was sold from, and posts the revenue, tax and tender to the ledger. Returns are reversed through the same route. Your back office starts each morning from what actually happened at the counter, not from a file someone exported.

What makes it different

Many businesses run a till from one vendor, a fiscal device from another, a mobile money integration from a third and an ERP behind them all. Each join is a place where prices drift, receipts go missing and month-end becomes a reconciliation. Predictiv runs the till, the fiscal receipt, the tender and the ledger on one record.

Connected to the rest of the platform

You sell stock from inventory at the till, and you take the stock counts behind it while you trade. On the road you use it as the van till for direct store delivery, seeded from the customer’s order. Predictiv posts sales to finance as it synchronises them, and the till runs on ordinary devices as described under mobile and offline.
