Van sales and direct store delivery
Whether your business calls it van sales, direct store delivery or route accounting, the work is the same: the driver takes stock out on a vehicle, sells or delivers it at the customer’s door, and brings back stock and cash that must reconcile. Predictiv runs that loop from the order to the reconciled van day.
Before the vehicle leaves
Orders are assigned to a trip, and each trip lists its stops in sequence. Predictiv generates the van load from those orders and moves the stock into the vehicle, so the van is its own stock location and Predictiv never takes stock for a van sale from the branch warehouse. The driver checks the vehicle out with the load confirmed.
At the customer
The driver delivers against the order line by line, and records a reason wherever the delivered quantity differs from the order. Where the driver sells as well as delivers, Predictiv seeds the till from the customer’s order at the order’s prices. Any change to a price is limited by role and recorded beside the original.
Selling works fully offline. Each receipt is fiscalised on the device, the customer can pay in US dollars, ZWG or by mobile payment, and the driver prints a thermal receipt at the door. You run van sales, pre-sell and delivery-only routes on the same product by configuration.
On the road
Predictiv calculates a trusted position for every delivery location automatically from real deliveries, and removes duplicates when store lists are imported. A delivery made away from the store it was meant for is reported, and call-cycle compliance is measured from the shipments that actually happened.
Predictiv applies fleet and fuel controls alongside. Odometer readings must be continuous, physically impossible trips are blocked at capture, and fuel is issued against an open pump shift. The supervisor receives a daily update on a phone.
Back at the depot
The van is counted blind: the counter sees what to count, never the quantity Predictiv expects to find. Stock that stays on the van is marked as such, and the counter gives a reason for anything that is short or over. Returnable crates are tracked by counterparty, and any variance is attributed to the driver.
The driver declares cash before seeing the expected total. Predictiv derives the variance per tender and per currency, never from a keyed figure, and sends anything above the threshold for approval. Nobody can approve their own variance.
In finance
You close each vehicle and day as one record. You check a van in only when both its stock variance and its cash-up are settled, so the finance team reads one reconciled row per vehicle per day, not a month-end reconciliation between separate systems.
Set up for the way you run routes
Each route is configured, not rebuilt. On a van-sales route the driver loads stock to sell from, on a pre-sell route the driver takes orders for later delivery, and on a delivery-only route the driver delivers what was ordered. The variance thresholds for stock and cash, the tenders a driver may accept and the reasons a driver can give are all set by you, per organisation. Because Predictiv records every route on the same record, a business that runs all three kinds of route sees them side by side in one set of reports.
What makes it different
Most distributors join a van-sales app, a fleet system, a fiscal device and the ERP with interfaces and spreadsheets. Predictiv runs the whole loop on one record. No product we assessed combines offline van selling, fiscalisation on the device, dual-currency tendering and returnables accounting in the way Predictiv does.
