One ledger for the whole business
Predictiv posts every sale at the till, every van day, every goods receipt, production run and maintenance work order to the same ledger. Finance does not import totals from other systems and reconcile them at month-end. The entry in the ledger is the entry the business made, and you can trace it back to the document behind it.
You keep general ledgers with your own chart of accounts and dimensions such as cost centre, so results can be read by branch, region or activity. Predictiv keeps accounts payable and receivable, bank accounts and reconciliation, fixed assets, recurring journals and the trial balance all on that one record.
Built for more than one currency
Trade in US dollars, ZWG and other currencies side by side. Predictiv stores the rates you set, posts each document in its own currency and reports in the currency you need. Tax is calculated on the document, including withholding tax and VAT on payments, and a sale made at the till or the van is fiscalised where it happens. Predictiv keeps an audit trail on every entry: who created it, who changed it and when.
Controls that run while you work
Most finance teams test their controls once a year, when the auditors ask. Predictiv tests them on a schedule. Automated control checks run across the risk domains a finance director cares about: the general ledger, revenue, purchase-to-pay, inventory, tax and user access.
Each finding is written in plain terms, as the issue, what it implies and what to do about it. It has an owner and a lifecycle, so it is resolved and closed, not read and forgotten. It is built into Predictiv, with no separate product to license.
Every supplier payment checked before release
Paying a supplier twice, paying against an invoice the tax authority has never seen, or paying into changed bank details are expensive mistakes. Before a payment is released, Predictiv extracts the details from the documents behind it and checks:
- that the pack is complete
- that the order, the goods receipt and the invoice match
- that the supplier’s fiscal invoice is genuine, against the tax authority’s own records
- that the supplier is tax compliant
- that the bank details match what you hold for that supplier
- that the invoice has not been paid before
- that the right people have approved it
It then recommends release, hold or review, with its reasons. A person makes the decision. This is accounts-payable control: it checks whether a payment should be made. Predictiv does not move the money.
Costing you can correct
A wrong receipt cost or a transaction posted out of order can distort average cost for months, and the error affects every sale after it. Correcting it usually means manual journals and a long spreadsheet.
In Predictiv, finance chooses a date it has already signed off, and average cost is rebuilt forward from there in the order goods actually moved. The run is posted to the ledger, recorded row by row so every change can be inspected, and can be reverted from its own record. No product we assessed starts a costing rebuild from a signed-off position.
Connected to the rest of the platform
Predictiv gives finance the records of everything the business does. Payment verification matches the orders and receipts recorded in procurement. Predictiv rebuilds costing from the movements recorded in inventory. Sales are settled and fiscalised at the point of sale with payments and fiscalisation. Workflow routes approvals, documents turns a supplier invoice into a draft record, and analytics reports the results on live data.
